Homeopathy was discovered by Dr. Samuel Hahnemann an MD Doctor in Germany in 1796. It is an alternative medicine based on the theory of treating ‘Like with Like’. Homeopathy claims to stimulate healing response to diseases by administering substance that mic the symptoms of those diseases in healthy people. World Health Organization (WHO) has recognized Homoeopathy as the 2^nd largest therapeutic system practiced globally. Homoeopathy is the most gentle & safest of all the systems of medicine. Homoeopathic system of medicines is based on the principle of ‘Let likes be cured by likes’ this means that the substance that produces a disease in an individual can cure cure it as well when prescribed with minimum dose of that substance. Minimum the dose of medicines greater is it’s effectiveness. Homoeopathy believes in holistic approach to cure the human body. Holistic ‘ means considering the physical, mental & emotional elements of an individual while taking case history. Homoeopath considers every individual as Unique. No two individuals can be same. So many patients suffering from same disease may need different medicines e.g. all patients suffering from typhoid may need different medicines unlike allopathic system of medicines.
